How it works
仕組みThis tester measures the exact gap in milliseconds between consecutive clicks and tells you whether the pair also fired a native double-click event in your operating system. It keeps a log of your last ten intervals and flags anything under 80 ms, a gap faster than a human finger can manage, which usually means the mouse switch itself is “bouncing” and sending phantom doubles. Because the fault lives in your specific mouse’s hardware, only clicking it here, on your own machine, can reveal it.
The metal contacts inside a mouse switch develop “bounce” as they wear: one press makes and breaks contact several times in a few milliseconds, and the computer reads it as two clicks. If this tool logs intervals under 80 ms that you didn’t intend, the switch is the likely culprit, and replacing the switch or the mouse fixes it.
Your operating system turns two clicks into one double-click only when they land within its threshold, typically around 500 ms on Windows and macOS, and adjustable in system settings. YES means your last pair was fast enough to count as a native dblclick event; NO means the system treated them as two separate clicks.
A deliberate, practiced double-click usually lands between 100 and 250 ms; most people sit comfortably around 150-300 ms. Genuinely intentional clicks under 80 ms are extremely rare, which is why anything below that line is flagged as probable switch bounce rather than skill.
